Job summary

BlueScope Coated Products is seeking a Quality Control Manager to lead the quality department and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes. You will analyze manufacturing data, conduct audits against ISO 9001/14001, and implement corrective actions to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering related studies.
• 10+ years working as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing industry.
• 5+ years of experience leading teams in a manufacturing industry.
• Experience with AIAG Core Tools or comparable toolset from aviation or FDA regulated industries.
• Oracle system experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Dept. to support the successful achievement of plant goals and objectives.
• Collect, analyze and interpret manufacturing data related to operator and process quality performance and drive improvements.
• Audit manufacturing areas for adherence to procedures and standards as well as ISO 9001/14001.
• Facilitate completion of improvement initiatives and build capacity within systems and processes.
• Perform root cause analysis of issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain training programs related to the Quality Management System.

The Manager develops, implements, maintains and audits site specific operations requirements of the corporate Quality Management System to ensure all processes and products are in compliance with code, accreditation, certification and customer requirements. They drive problem solving and continuous improvement activities and develop and maintain strong relationships with company brands, customers, auditors, vendors and facility employees and management to be able to react to their needs and address issues which may arise.Key Focus AreasLead the Quality Dept. to support the successful achievement of plant goals and objectives as set forth by BCP’s Senior Leadership.Collect, analyze and interpret manufacturing data related to operator and process quality performance, and facilitate improvements to build capacity within BCP manufacturing processes, using leading and lagging indicators at both site and company levelsAudit manufacturing areas for adherence to company procedures and standards as well as applicable industry codes and standards: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
