Job summary

CADREX Manufacturing Solutions is seeking a Quality Manager to identify quality issues, implement reporting, and drive improvements across production. You will define and prioritize high-value quality projects and manage them to completion, collaborating with Production, Engineering and Development teams to ensure product quality.

This onsite role requires experience in high-volume sheet metal manufacturing with LEAN Six Sigma, CQE and ISO 9000 auditing preferred.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Must possess demonstrated ability to use statistical tools and performance measuring system analysis and methods.
  • Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment, LEAN Six Sigma, Green Belt, CQE and/or ISO 9000 Auditing preferred.
  • Must have blueprint reading certification

Responsibilities

  • Manages quality assurance programs to identify critical control points and preventive measures, establishes critical limits, and monitors procedures, and implements corrective actions and verification procedures
  • Leads internal and external corrective action activity related to system/products requiring CAPA’s
  • Validates quality process specifications and quality attributes, measures production, documents evidence, determines operational and performance qualifications, reviews non-conforming logs, develops and updates quality assurance procedures
  • Effectively interacts with Production, Engineering and Development teams to ensure product quality
  • Organizes and promotes company-wide quality improvement efforts
  • Travels to customer and supplier sites when necessary
  • Partners with customers and internal business units to resolve issues
  • Regularly communicates with customers and internal departments on quality matters and supports greater quality department with supplier related issues
  • Conduct quality audits of manufacturing processes and parts
  • Supports team for all new product introductions and engineering changes to verify quality documentation is correct and assist with NPI signoff
  • Work with continuous improvement team to deploy process change

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Quality Manager to identify quality issues and gaps and implement reporting processes to track quality improvements that enhance the current systems. Defines and prioritizes high value quality project and manages projects to completion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages quality assurance programs to identify critical control points and preventive measures, establishes critical limits, and monitors procedures, and implements corrective actions and verification procedures
  • Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information, data, reports and trend patterns to strategic plans and reviews, for analysis, determination of system improvements, implementing change and initiating corrective actions
  • Leads internal and external corrective action activity related to system/products requiring CAPA’s
  • Validates quality process specifications and quality attributes, measures production, documents evidence, determines operational and performance qualifications, reviews non-conforming logs, develops and updates quality assurance procedures
  • Effectively interacts with Production, Engineering and Development teams to ensure product quality
  • Determines and enforces—through functional groups—quality requirements in accordance with company needs
  • Organizes and promotes company-wide quality improvement efforts
  • Evaluates and develops improved techniques for the control of quality and reliability
  • Acts as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality of products produced
  • Travels to customer and supplier sites when necessary
  • Partners with customers and internal business units to resolve issues
  • Regularly communicates with customers and internal departments on quality matters and supports greater quality department with supplier related issues
  • Conduct quality audits of manufacturing processes and parts
  • Supports team for all new product introductions and engineering changes to verify quality documentation is correct and assist with NPI signoff
  • Work with continuous improvement team to deploy process change
  • Participates in team meetings, documents action items, and keeps team apprised of customer concerns

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years’ related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Must possess demonstrated ability to use statistical tools and performance measuring system analysis and methods
  • Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment, LEAN Six Sigma, Green Belt, CQE and/or ISO 9000 Auditing preferred
  • Must have blueprint reading certification

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
