Job summary

Titan Florida LLC seeks a Quality Control Manager to work at the Pennsuco Complex in Medley, Florida. This role is responsible for optimizing the quality of the plant’s products and implementing short-, medium-, and long-term quality strategies at optimum cost and in line with the company’s standards.

Responsibilities include leading the Quality department, ensuring safety, and coordinating the Quality Management System to meet customer and regulatory specifications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7 years of quality control and process experience in cement production with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong reasoning and math abilities.
  • Experience with process improvement in cement manufacturing.
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000/14000 and API Q1.
  • Experience with ISO 17025 accreditation processes.
  • Familiarity with cement manufacturing design and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Set Quality department goals aligned with plant objectives.
  • Ensure safe work environment rules are followed.
  • Define and optimize Quality department expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to Titan standards and best practices.
  • Lead QC processes to meet requirements and improve operations.
  • Oversee Quality System documentation per QA System.
  • Ensure production targets meet customer and regulatory specs.
  • Coordinate and monitor Quality Management System deployment.
  • Detect and report deviations; recommend corrective actions.
  • Manage relationships with certification agencies for product approvals.
  • Specify and qualify new laboratory equipment.
  • Establish Quality control plans for each process step.
  • Set materials and product quality specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts' quality requirements.
  • Support product development feedback for new specs.
  • Ensure testing procedures for new products.
  • Directly supervise Lab Chemist and QC Supervisor; oversee 7 Process Chemists indirectly.

Responsibilitie
  • s:• Set the Quality department goals and objectives in line with the plant objectives and applicable engineering principle
  • s.• Ensure the safe work environment rules and practices are understood, implemented and consistently followed by the Quality department employees and contractor
  • s.• Define, follow‐up and optimize the Quality department expense
  • s.• Ensure adoption and adherence to Titan standards, norms and best practice
  • s.• Lead and develop the Quality department processes to meet desired requirements, improve operations and promote personnel developmen
  • t.• Supervise preparation, adoption and review of documentation of the Quality System to be in line with the Quality Assurance System (QAS

  • Take all appropriate actions to ensure that production targets, customer expectations and regulatory specifications are achieve
