Job summary

A. Stucki Company in Elizabethtown, KY is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the facility's quality initiatives and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years progressive quality leadership experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with quality audits and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute corporate quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with AAR, FRA, ISO, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Lead internal audits and maintain readiness for customer/regulatory audits.
  • Manage plant quality metrics: scrap, rework, first-pass yield, warranty, customer complaints, cost of poor quality.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Serve as the primary contact for customer quality concerns and drive issue resolution.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to validate process controls and inspection methods.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes with quality controls.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce defects and waste through continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead all plant quality initiatives and ensure execution of our Quality Management System and regulatory requirements. This role serves as the quality leader for the facility, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, and Corporate Regulatory & Compliance to drive product quality, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining compliance with applicable AAR, FRA, ISO (where applicable), and customer-specific requirements while leading corrective actions, supporting audits, improving key quality metrics, and developing a strong culture of quality throughout the plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute all corporate quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements within the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with AAR, FRA, ISO, and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Lead internal audits and maintain continuous readiness for customer and regulatory audits.
  • Manage plant quality metrics including scrap, rework, first-pass yield, warranty performance, customer complaints, and cost of poor quality.
  • Lead root cause investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies and ensure timely implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and drive rapid issue resolution.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to validate process controls, inspection methods, and quality standards.
  • Support new product introductions and engineering changes while ensuring appropriate quality controls are implemented.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce defects, improve processes, and eliminate waste through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, and other quality personnel.
  • Maintain controlled documentation, certifications, training records, and compliance documentation.
  • Present quality performance and improvement initiatives to plant and executive leadership.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
  • 5-10 years of progressive quality leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading quality audits and managing compliance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, corrective action processes, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and developing quality personnel.
  • Experience with AAR standards is strongly preferred.
