Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Quality Manager to own and optimize the Quality Management System (QMS) and governance framework across our operations. You will report to the head of quality, ensuring SOPs are current and properly controlled, while driving audits and CAPA actions across service lines.

You will translate EPA and ISO-related requirements into practical processes, manage risk assessments, and deliver KPI-based reporting to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in quality management, compliance, or operations leadership.
• Experience building/administering Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Experience developing audit programs and compliance initiatives.
• Knowledge of ISO-based management systems and regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and administer the Quality Management System (QMS) and governance framework.
• Ensure all critical processes have current, approved SOPs; manage document control and revisions.
• Develop and oversee enterprise audit programs across service lines; track findings and drive CAPA closure.
• Translate regulatory requirements into operational processes and controls.
• Manage risk registers, training compliance, and KPI/executive reporting; support integration efforts.

Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role ensures that the company's operating system is effectively implemented, maintained, measured, and continuously improved.The compensation range for this role is $80-100k/yr. Commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:Maintain and administer the company Quality Management System (QMS), including enterprise standards for SOPs, forms, checklists, and documentation practicesEnsure all critical processes have current, approved SOPs; manage document control, revisions, approvals, and coordinate periodic reviews with SMEsDevelop and oversee enterprise audit programs (field, office, documentation, and report quality) across service lines; track findings and drive corrective action closureAdminister the CAPA process and analyze audit/quality trends to identify systemic improvementsTranslate regulatory requirements (EPA, Method 21, OOOOb, Subpart W, Appendix K, state, and client-specific) into operational processes and controlsManage risk registers/assessments, partner on training compliance, develop quality/compliance KPIs and executive reports, and support acquisition/expansion integrationYour Expertise and SkillsThese requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business Administration, Quality Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered·5+ years of experience in quality management, compliance, operational excellence, auditing, or related operational leadership roles·Demonstrated experience building or administering Quality Management Systems (QMS)Experience developing and managing audit programs, compliance programs, or operational governance frameworksStrong understanding of document control, SOP governance, corrective action management, and continuous improvement principlesExperience with root cause analysis, CAPA processes, and performance measurement systemsWorking knowledge of environmental regulations, compliance frameworks, and operational standards preferredKnowledge of ISO-based management systems, auditing methodologies, or similar quality frameworks preferredWork Environment and Physical RequirementsAbility to walk and/or stand while handling/carrying various technical equipmentComfortable occasionally working at heights in a safe mannerAbility to lift up to 20-30lbs unassistedComfortable working outside in all-weather elementsAbility to climb ladders and stairsAbility to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkWillingness to travel#INDONT #LI-JJ1Onterris is a leading global environmental solutions company partnering with organizations to solve complex challenges where environmental pressures, regulatory expectations and operational risks intersect.
