Job summary

DSJ Global is partnering with a leading food manufacturer to recruit a Quality Manager who will lead food safety, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role directly influences plant-wide performance and collaborates with Operations, Production, Maintenance, and Supply Chain leadership.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on audit experience, a strong background in food manufacturing quality management, and a proven ability to build and mentor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related field preferred.
• 4+ years of quality leadership experience within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP, FSMA, PCQI, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience leading audit programs and interacting with customers and regulatory agencies.
• Proven ability to build teams, influence stakeholders, and drive accountability.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of the facility's Food Safety and Quality Management System.
• Ensure compliance with SQF, HACCP, FSMA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and customer requirements.
• Manage internal audits, customer audits, third-party audits, and regulatory inspections.
• Drive corrective and preventive action programs through effective root cause analysis.
• Monitor quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with Operations leadership to reduce waste, improve yields, and enhance product quality.
• Oversee environmental monitoring, sanitation verification, and quality testing programs.
• Develop, coach, and mentor quality personnel while fostering a strong food safety culture.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality performance and operational excellence.
