Job summary

MCC, 7400 Industrial Row Dr, Mason, Ohio, is seeking a Quality Technician to perform on-line quality audits, raw material testing, and non-conformance handling to support Manufacturing, Technical, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, and R&D.

The role requires 2–4 years of experience or related education, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to use measurement tools. Safety, calibration, and documentation are essential aspects of daily work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two to Four years’ experience or related education.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Vision capabilities including color, close vision, distance, and ability to focus.
• Physical ability to stand/walk, regular use of hands, and to lift up to 30lbs.
• Occasionally climb/balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Responsibilities

• Perform audits per applicable sampling plans, positive release, and in process audits.
• Active involvement in data integrity, testing methodology, standardized practice systems, and non-conforming material containment process.
• Assist in process capability testing and routine inspection and testing of product/equipment.
• Effective system-based communication with other Quality Department team members and Operations.
• Shared ownership of equipment calibration process for Quality Tools critical to product testing.
• Perform aged testing for all departments and project testing for technical.
• Create and manage color standards.
• Aid in the management of Process Control Plans and Product Spec Sheets.
• Follow all plant and department specific safety rules, including PPE.

Our Mason, Ohio located is currently recruiting for a Quality Technician (hourly) to join our small team! The main purpose of the Quality Technician position is to perform on-line quality audits, raw material testing, raw material rejections, product testing, and support in the handling of non-conformances. This position supports the Manufacturing, Technical, Quality, Sales, Purchasing, and R&D arms relative to established specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform audits per applicable sampling plans, positive release, and in process audits.
• Active involvement in data integrity, testing methodology, standardized practice systems, and non-conforming material containment process.
• Assist in process capability testing and routine inspection and testing of product/equipment.
• Effective system-based communication with other Quality Department team members and Operations.
• Shared ownership of equipment calibration process for Quality Tools critical to product testing.
• Perform aged testing for all departments and project testing for technical.
• Help to maintain all quality record documentation including: Internal audit records, management review meeting minutes/charts, calibration records, training records, internal non-conformances, customer complaints, vendor non-conformances, corrective action reports and meeting action items.
• Perform product inspection audits at set intervals at each machine to ensure product being produced meets or exceeds the specified standards.
• Create and manage color standards.
• Aid in the management of Process Control Plans and Product Spec Sheets.
• Understand and competently use measurement tools required: UPC, Verifier, Scales, Ruler, Calipers, Static Meter, Sutherland Rub Tester, etc.
• Manage non-conformance Product Procedure and Quality Hold Area.
• Provide training on new quality processes and best practices.
• Aid in the documentation of R&D projects.
• Perform QA laboratory testing as required for specified product lines.
• Follow all plant and department specific safety rules, including use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Understands ISO, BRC, HAACP, or similar principles. Will assist in facilitating compliance throughout the organization through a variety of activities.
• Complies with established safety policies and procedures.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
