Job summary

BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC in Greenville, NC is seeking a Quality Management Parts, Interior Intern for Spring 2027 to gain hands-on experience in quality and supplier management within our interior parts operations. You will learn and contribute to data collection for OEE, coordinate supplier development, apply 8D problem solving, and support project teams with process improvements and documentation.

This internship requires on-site availability, a 3.0 GPA, and completion of at least 30

Qualifications

• Enrolled in college program with major in business admin, engineering, supply chain or similar preferred.
• MS Office and presentation tools knowledge.
• Experience leading groups of people.
• Must attach unofficial transcript.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
• GPA of 3.0 or higher required.
• Active student status in a United States four-year college or university.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Must pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
• Work term dates May 18, 2026 – August 7, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Support quality management functions with supplier quality management applications on the interior parts commodities.
• Contribute to OEE and value stream data collection systems at suppliers.
• Steer and coordinate supplier quality development for specific supplier-related issues.
• Apply 8D problem solving methodology to recurring quality topics with a specific supplier.
• Assist the Quality Specialist on ongoing or upcoming projects.
• Work on supplier issues with regards to process problem solving measures.
• Assist on supply chain topics with stock tracking and crisis management on critical components.
• Prepare PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support meetings.
• Participate in project team meetings and ad-hoc tasks.

Description:

• Support and learn quality management functions with the supplier quality management applications on the interior parts commodities.
• The qualified intern/co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
• OEE and value stream data collection system to be implemented at the suppliers
• Steer and coordinate the supplier quality development for specific supplier-related issues.
• Problem solving methodology (8D) to solve recurrent quality topics with a specific supplier.
• Assist the Quality Specialist on critical on-going projects or upcoming projects
• Work on specific supplier issues with regards to process problem solving measures, using problem solving tools
• Assist on supply chain topics with regards the sub-component stock tracking and crisis management on critical component shortages
• Special scopes on specific supplier topics as defined by the Hiring manager and the assignment supervisor
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

The qualified intern should expect to contribute to improvements in the following functions:

• Conduct research and conceptualize new ideas.
• Support project management and coordination of plans for related projects.
• Coordinate and support focused, community-based events and initiatives.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret information to evaluate the landscape against business strategies.
• Stay abreast of best practices and recommend relevant initiatives for activities and actions.
• Provide regular input on enhancing processes and practices.
• Support the organization’s vision, strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
• Partner with stakeholders to enable successful prioritization, development, delivery, and adoption of program goals.
• Create PowerPoint slide decks for presentations and support preparation for meetings.
• Participate in project team meetings.
• Schedule the use of meeting room facilities on an as-needed basis.
• Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned by project team members.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in college program with major in business admin, engineering, supply chain or similar preferred.
• MS office, advanced excel, Powerpoint
• Experience leading groups of people
• Assignment qualifications from JFDS
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
• Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
• Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
• MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
• Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
