Job summary

Plexus Corp in Nampa, Idaho, is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead quality assurance, implement control processes, and drive continuous improvement across production. You will mentor QA staff and work with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain to resolve non-conformances and enhance product quality.

The role requires a degree in quality management, industrial engineering, or manufacturing, with CQE/CQIA or Six Sigma preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (quality management, industrial engineering, manufacturing, or equivalent).
• Certifications such as CQE or CQIA or Six Sigma preferred or required.
• Experience leading quality assurance teams and coordinating cross-functional quality initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company specifications.
• Lead and mentor quality assurance team members to ensure high performance and development.
• Conduct inspections and audits of production processes; identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain to address quality issues, resolve non-conformances, and drive root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze quality data to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency and process optimization.

The salary offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Salary Range:

$45,300.00 - $67,900.00

Work Shift:

This shift helps cover operations on our B Shift which works every other Saturday night from 6pm-6am and every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night from 6pm-6am.

The shift is eligible for a 10% shift differential.

Purpose Statement:

To ensure product quality, compliance, and continuous improvement through effective leadership, meticulous oversight, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, ultimately contributing to the delivery of exceptional products and customer satisfaction.

Key Job Accountabilities:

• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company specifications.
• Lead and mentor quality assurance team members, providing guidance and support to ensure consistent performance and professional development.
• Conduct thorough inspections and audits of production processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to address quality issues, resolve non-conformances, and drive root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for efficiency gains, and areas for process optimization, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

• Degree in a relevant field such as quality management, industrial engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline preferred.

Other Qualifications:

• Certifications such as a Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, or Six Sigma may be preferred or required.

Physical Requirements:

• Professional office environment with suitable lighting, comfortable temperatures, and low noise level. May require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, using a computer, and other office equipment. Minimal physical activity is generally involved, emphasizing the importance of good posture and ergonomic workplace arrangements.
