Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector for our Livonia, MI warehouse. This role supports QA across receiving, allocation, labeling, packaging, and shipment, and coordinates with QC staff to maintain product quality.

The position emphasizes attention to quality standards, independent work in a fast-paced refrigerated environment, and collaboration with production and shipping teams to address non-conformances.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of related experience or 1 year of college education.
• Previous produce or quality inspection experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• JDA or NAV experience is preferred.
• Strong organization, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and use measuring tools such as rulers, scales, and calipers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet or exceed customer quality specifications.

• Report significant quality issues to the Director of Operations.
• Send quality issue notifications regarding non-compliant products.
• Help maintain high presentation and packaging standards.
• Train and support Quality Control Inspectors.
• Complete additional quality-related projects and assignments as needed.

Job description

Schedule: Thursday–Saturday, plus every other Wednesday, 6:00 PM–6:00 AM

Working Conditions

• Refrigerated warehouse environment of approximately 50°F.
• Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must successfully complete required background check, drug screening, and pre-employment testing.
