Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform daily quality control inspections and tests during manufacturing. You will communicate quality systems to auditors and training staff, maintaining certifications and ensuring compliance with GMP and BRC standards.

You will also generate COCs/COAs for finished products, support investigations, and assist in audits. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years in manufacturing quality, and strong

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of quality experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in quality reporting.
  • Solid knowledge of ISO-based quality systems and audits.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily quality control inspections, tests, and documentation.
  • Communicate and train staff on quality systems and procedures.
  • Create Certificates of Compliance (COC) and Certificates of Analysis (COA) for finished products.
  • Support root-cause analysis for quality issues and participate in corrective actions.
  • Maintain GMP, BRC, and company quality policies and audits.

Job Description

Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacturing of products for Injection Molding and Blow Molding Departments. Responsible for communicating and training the quality systems for quality auditors and reporting to the Quality Manager. Maintains third‑party Food Safety Certification, including internal audits. Provides coverage for vacation for quality auditors on days or nights.

Responsibilities
  • Follows all Safety and Quality procedures and observes the operations to ensure a safe environment.
  • Ensures compliance of “Food Product Safety” & “Product Quality” of the product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
  • Performs daily quality control inspections, checks, functional tests, documents and disseminates results.
  • Interacts with production personnel to ensure quality checks, packaging, documentation requirements and the quality system is clearly understood.
  • Maintains daily QC inspection records.
  • Creates Certificates of Compliance (COC) and Certification of Analysis (COA) for all finished products as required.
  • Conducts UN performance testing, completes appropriate documentation and maintains records to satisfy contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Supports the Quality Manager with customer complaint investigations and interacts with production teams to determine root cause analysis.
  • Trains and develops all technicians.
  • Investigates all issues where nonconformance is identified during the shift and verifies that all nonconforming products are properly isolated, identified and placed on Hold. Manages the HFI (Hold for Inspection) area.
  • Provides timely disposition for nonconforming product and communicates results to all departments.
  • Conducts routine audits and implements corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with GMP, BRC ISSUE 7 and company procedures.
  • Serves as Back Up Coordinator for Food Safety Management System, responsible for completion of third‑party audits.
  • Maintains the work area in an organized and professional manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of quality experience in manufacturing settings preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with management.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of quality and reporting.
  • Strong computer skills, general knowledge of Windows Microsoft Office applications, proficient in computer data entry, analysis, email communication and file management.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts (up to 12 hours) as determined by business needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of ISO‑based quality systems, audits, and corrective action processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of UN/DOT regulation preferred.
  • SAP experience preferred.
