Job summary

Vinmar Recycling Solutions in Belmont, NC is seeking a meticulous Quality Lab Technician to join our quality assurance team. You will conduct tests on plastic materials and finished products, document results, and help ensure products meet our standards and regulatory requirements.

You will calibrate equipment, analyze data, and collaborate with production to address quality issues. A strong background in lab practices and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a technical field preferred.
• Experience in a quality control laboratory or similar role within the plastics or manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and testing methods for quality assurance.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and reporting.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and data entry software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine tests on plastic raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Document and analyze test results, preparing reports for management review
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accurate measurements
• Work closely with production personnel to investigate quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Assist in developing and updating quality control procedures
• Participate in regular quality audits and inspections
• Keep the laboratory environment organized and comply with safety standards
