Job summary

Nissin Foods in Piedmont, SC is seeking a Quality Technician on 1st shift to support laboratory testing, product inspections, and quality evaluations of finished goods and raw materials. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of lab or quality control experience, basic math skills, and the ability to analyze data and work in a manufacturing environment with lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of laboratory, quality control, or manufacturing experience.
• Basic math skills and ability to analyze data.
• Ability to stand and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory testing including chemistry and microbiology.
• Perform in-process inspections across production stages.
• Test product samples for weight, dimensions, performance, and composition.
• Inspect raw materials upon receipt for quality and foreign matter.
• Perform sensory evaluations and taste tests.
• Monitor lines to ensure adherence to quality and weight standards.
• Record and analyze data using statistical quality control methods.
• Identify deviations and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation and input data into systems.
• Provide guidance and training on quality standards and lab safety.
• Keep lab areas clean and organized.
• Support additional quality or operational tasks as assigned.
