Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Illinois is seeking a Quality Lab Supervisor to oversee daily laboratory operations, ensure testing accuracy, and drive regulatory compliance across FDA, cGMP, GLP, and USP frameworks.

You will mentor analysts, manage workflow, and coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering to maintain data integrity and product quality in a penicillin-manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related science.
• 4-6 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
• Knowledge of operation and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation (HPLC, UV, IR, GC, MS).
• Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for daily operation of the laboratory and control of workflow.
• Conduct performance and development discussions with direct reports and document performance improvement plans.
• Supervise safety measures of laboratory and assist personnel.
• Ensure completion of all testing and testing SOP compliance.
• Mentor and develop laboratory analysts with technical coaching.
• Coordinate testing priorities with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering and other functions.
