Job summary

The Laboratory Coordinator at Mid America Pet Food ensures the quality assurance laboratory operates daily in accordance with SOPs and food safety regulations. You will coordinate testing, maintain records, and communicate results to Quality Management to support product releases.

Work with Production, QA, and Regulatory Affairs, train technicians, and participate in audits. This role is day-shift, in a manufacturing setting, with opportunities for professional growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 3+ years in lab/QA or manufacturing.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for cross-department work.
• Detail-oriented with meticulous documentation and records control.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and learning ERP/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily QA lab activities based on production priorities.
• Perform testing per approved SOPs and document results accurately.
• Manage ingredient inspections and sample collection for testing.
• Support product release decisions with laboratory data and recommendations.
• Train QA technicians and participate in audits and investigations.
