Job summary

On-Board is hiring Quality Inspectors in Stow, OH. The role is a permanent full-time position with a pay of $26.50 per hour plus a possible increase after obtaining a quality stamp within 90 days.

Work is on the 3rd shift (Sunday night - Friday morning 10:00 PM–6:30 AM) with overtime as required by the client. Inspectors will oversee the DuPont Stow Works Quality Department systems to ensure final product releases meet exact customer specifications.

Title: Quality Inspector

Type: Permanent Full Time

Pay: $26.50 per hour + dollar increase when obtained quality stamp within 90 days.

Job Summary:

Inspectors shall manage the DuPont Stow Works Quality Department systems and requirements to assure that the final release of products and parts comply with exact customer requests and specifications. Quality of inspection is very important!

Responsibilities:

• Evaluates and reviews data using statistical methodology and monitors compliance with customer specifications
• Makes recommendations to management personnel, based on this information

Organization Relationships:

• Works regularly with shift production employees as well as leadership throughout the DuPont and Contract Groups.

Requirements:

• Inspector candidates need significant process experience and Quality knowledge and training to make appropriate business-based decisions.
• Six years plus experience in the aerospace industry is needed (or equivalent).
• In addition, candidates need a strong inspection background, along with inspection skills and the ability to use gages, micrometers, height gages, optical comparators, and bench set ups on surface plates.
• Strong knowledge of manual measurements gages, ie
• Micrometers, calipers, indicators, drop indicators, height stands, etc.
• Optical Comparator experience, ability to read CMM and Micro Vu reports.
• Candidates must also have experience in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), blueprint reading, and knowledge of Quality audits associated with the aerospace industry.
• CMM knowledge on aerospace parts, with close working tolerance of plus or minus .0002 on parts. Knowledge of SPC is very helpful

• Milling & Drilling
• Turning & Boring
• Grinding
• Honing
• Other Machining Processes
• Advanced Gaging/Layout
• Intermediate Shop Math (Algebra)

ADVANCED LEVEL – RECEIVING INSPECTORS: Inspectors who have satisfied training requirements and who have demonstrated satisfactory work performance have the option of advancing to the Receiving Inspector role. Additional requirements for this position include:

• Receiving Inspection, including Cert Review
• Microsoft Excel (SPC)
• Basic PC Skills

Physical Requirements

The following requirements are to be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear.
• The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and sit.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds/55 max.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• The employee must clear all prescreen qualifications prior to being hired.
• Must be able to train at Valley View for three months

Additional Site Information:

• 8 hour shift – 2 x 15 min breaks and 1 x 30 minute lunch
