Job summary

Allied Plastics in Twin Lakes, WI is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM). You will inspect, measure, and verify parts and materials, interpret drawings, and ensure documentation like PCS and WI is accurate.

You will perform random audits, support containment actions, and use tools such as calipers, tape measures, and other inspection devices. Epicor ERP will be used to disposition non-conforming materials, and a strong quality mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Interpret work instructions, process control sheets, and engineering drawings for part qualification, including first piece approvals performed at the machine and use of inspection fixtures.
• Read engineering drawings to measurable dimensions and verify part numbers and revisions.
• Perform random quality control inspection audits on work in progress and finished goods.
• Conduct 2 production rounds per shift inspecting parts and materials with inspection tools as needed.
• Visual inspection of products and ensure documentation is completed (PCS, WI, vision boards).
• Record electronically on a daily summary log.
• Support production by performing sort/containment actions when quality issues are detected.
• Utilize Epicor ERP to disposition non-conforming materials.
• Maintain organized records and a clean work area, follow safety rules.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

You’ll collaborate with production teams, communicate findings clearly, and take initiative to resolve issues—because at Allied Plastics, every team member’s contribution matters.Hours: 2nd shift: 3:00 PM to 11:30 PMPay: Base on experienceQuality Assurance Inspector Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInterpret work instructions, process control sheets, and engineering drawings for part qualification, including first piece approvals performed at the machine and use of inspection fixtures.Inspector will need to read engineering drawings up to measurable dimensions including, length, width, hole or slot sizes, thickness, and verify part number and revision to include any applicable notes that transfer to the process control sheet.Perform random quality control inspection audits on work in progress and finished goods.Conduct 2 production rounds for each shift inspecting parts and materials, using inspection tools as necessary.Visual inspection of the products, and ensure production employees are completing their documentation as needed to include, Process Control Sheets (PCS), signed Work Instructions (WI), and vision boards.Record electronically on a daily summary log.Support production by performing sort/containment actions when quality-related issues are detected.Utilize Allied’s ERP system (Epicor) to process non-conforming materials to include dispositions.Use of various equipment including decimal tape measure, caliper, ultra-sonic gauge, color spectrophotometer, gloss meter, melt flow, etc.Keep legible and organized records/documentation and inspection records.Maintain a clean work area and follow plant safety rules and regulations.Perform other duties outside normal work functions as directed by Management and other related tasks as neededJoining Allied Plastics as a Quality Inspector means being part of a company that values innovation and precision.
