Job summary

You will perform First Article, in-process, incoming, and final inspections, using calipers, micrometers, smart scopes, scopes and gauges.

The role requires basic math, ability to read blueprints, and strong attention to detail with adherence to ISO 13485 and ISO 14001.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of job-related experience.
• Injection molding experience desired.
• Basic math skills to use scales and measure weights.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Attention to detail, organization, and multitasking.
• Teamwork ability.
• Excellent decision making and time management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Knowledge of test methods.

Responsibilities

• Audit and monitor quality requirements per QA policies and customer specs.
• Conduct inspections at First Article, In-Process, Incoming and Final inspections per plans.
• Perform routine visual/functional/dimensional testing per procedures.
• Identify nonconforming material and initiate nonconforming reports.
• Communicate quality concerns with management and operators.
• Use inspection tools to measure parts for compliance.
• Read and interpret blueprints and process documents.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits.
• Assist with investigations of defects and quality issues.
• Complete accurate reports on inspection plans.
• Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow.
• Perform basic mathematical operations and unit conversions.
• Comply with ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 and safety policies.
• Perform additional duties to meet departmental objectives.
• Document release/hold paperwork and databases.
