Job summary

Advance CNC Machining is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to uphold our quality standards as we scale to meet rising demand. The role emphasizes precision inspections, drawing interpretation, and collaboration with production and engineering to drive improvements.

The ideal candidate will perform first article approvals, conduct floor audits, and communicate quality issues effectively while thriving in a fast-paced manufacturing environment in Ohio.

Qualifications

• 3 years related hands-on experience performing dimensional inspections in a shop environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and customer requirements.
• Solid knowledge of quality control principles and APQP/ASQ concepts.
• Excellent quantitative aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspections on machined parts using CMMs and inspection tools (gages, calipers, micrometers, bore gages).
• Analyze drawings and create inspection plans to determine the best method of inspection for efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and management to communicate quality issues and suggest improvements.
• Conduct floor audits with visual and dimensional inspection to catch issues early and prevent scrap.
• Assess risks and decide appropriate actions.
• Review and interpret CMM inspection reports to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Conduct first article approvals.

What You'll Do
