Job summary

EaglePicher Technologies is seeking a Quality Inspector for our Southbridge, MA facility. You will perform complex inspections of assemblies and finished products used in Aviation, Defense, and Space applications, requiring microscope work and bench testing.

Responsibilities include measurements, record-keeping, FAI, and supporting the Production Part Approval Process. Strong reading of blueprints and experience with QC tools are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical coursework or certificate preferred.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing inspection experience; related QC background desirable.
• Must read blueprints and use standard QC measuring tools.

• Keep accurate inspection records in travelers and process logs.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and participate in production part approvals.
• Review Quality Inspection Plans for accuracy and provide data entry.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are actively seeking a Quality inspector at our Southbridge, MA facility. Candidate will perform complex inspections of assemblies and finished product for Aviation, Defense, and Space designs. Requires inspection using a microscope and some product bench testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple and complex measurements in accordance with company standards and procedures.


• Keep accurate records of inspections on product travelers and process logs.


• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI's).


• Guide new product through the Production Part Approval Process.


• Perform data entry and review Quality Inspection Plans for accuracy.


• Approve or reject based upon relevant standards.


• Perform visual inspection per customer / industry requirements.


• Review documentation produced by the Quality Control Inspection Team.


• Examine and audit records for accuracy to product specifications.


• Comply with all EH&S requirements for work areas, including but not limited to PPE requirements for individual work areas.

Qualifications

• U.S. or Permanent required (Green Card Holder)


• High School Diploma or equivalent required, college or technical coursework leading to a degree or certificate is perferred


• 3-5 years manufacturing inspection experience (quality control) (position may be filled at higher or lower grade level based on experience)


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work independently and as a part of team


• Capable of reading blueprints


• Strong knowledge of optical comparators


• Proficiency with using caliper, micrometer, drop indicator, gauges and other standard Quality measuring devices


• Strong basic arithmetic skills


• Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Standards (GD&T.)


• Must have strong basic computer skills.


• Experience with ISO9001, AS9100 or ISO13485 Quality Management Systems

The salary range for this position is $19.28 - $21.82 per hour and represents the minimum and maximum for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including but not limited to: prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position's qualifications and internal equity.
