Job summary

Biomerics is seeking a Quality Inspector II in Fairfield, CA to perform routine inspections of materials, components, and finished products, ensuring compliance with established quality standards and specifications. This role requires initiative, adherence to documented processes, and the ability to mentor less experienced staff.

Responsibilities include training others in inspection techniques, using height gauges, calipers, durometers, CMM, and 3D scanners, and sampling materials to verify

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training or relevant coursework is a plus.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of related experience in quality inspection or similar manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Provides training and guidance to staff on quality inspection techniques.
• Utilizes measuring instruments such as height gauges, calipers, and durometers.
• Utilizes advanced measuring equipment including CMM and 3D Scanner.
• Performs inspection and sampling of received materials, in-process, and finished product to ensure they meet company and/or customer requirements.
• Compiles measurement data and generates customer reports.
• Provides disposition of discrepant materials and updates daily scrap log.
• Inspection of incoming tooling.
• Performs first article inspection including report.
• Performs customer returns inspection and investigation.
• May perform in-house equipment calibrations.
• Communicates pertinent quality related information to various departments.
• Follows all company safety policies and procedures.
• Completes training per Biomerics - IMP Training Matrix – QA Inspectors.
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
