Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform in-process and final inspections of sprinkler products to ensure conformance with drawings, specs, and regulatory requirements. You will identify defects, document results, and support continuous improvement to deliver safe, reliable, high-quality products.

The role reads blueprints, verifies dimensions and labeling, conducts audits of production processes, and communicates nonconformances.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, travelers, and work instructions.
• Understanding of dimensional tolerances and revision control.
• Ability to identify defects and nonconformances based on documented requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final, and package product inspections throughout manufacturing operations.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, travelers, and work instructions.
• Verify product characteristics, assembly configurations, markings, orientations, dimensions, and critical features.
• Inspect components including deflectors, frames, bulbs, links, seals, labels, and packaging.
• Ensure labeling accuracy and traceability; document inspection results and nonconformances.
• Conduct process audits and support containment and corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain safety.
