Job summary

Eaton IS AER ITD division seeks a Quality Inspector II for the Camarillo, CA facility on 1st shift (6am–2:30pm, Mon–Fri). The role performs inspection and data review to ensure conformance to drawings, specs, and quality standards, supporting AS9100 and QMS initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of Quality experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
• Located within 50 miles of Camarillo, CA.
• ITAR requires U.S. person status.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve inspection/test data.
• Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and procedures.
• Support AS9100 requirements through the QMS by supporting Quality Best Practices.
• Inspect, evaluate, and formally accept parts, materials, and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
• Review and approve inspection and test data to ensure compliance, accuracy, and proper documentation.
• Read, interpret, and apply mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, and technical procedures.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate tools and approved methods.
• Document inspection results, identify nonconformances, and coordinate with responsible departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain traceability and ensure all inspection records, certifications, and acceptance documentation are complete and controlled by company procedures.
• Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Quality Inspector II 1st Shift at our Camarillo, CA facility! This is a 1st shift role, with core hours between 6am - 2:30pm Monday - Friday.

The hourly rate for this position is $26 - $30 per hour.

What you’ll do:

• Review and approve inspection/test data.

• Maintain traceability and ensure all inspection records, certifications, and acceptance documentation are complete and controlled by company procedures.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 1 year of Quality experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of City of Industry will be considered for this position.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preffered:

• Detailed knowledge of Aerospace products, manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
• Experience in aerospace products and applications.
• Experience with AS9100 Quality System and product/process auditing techniques
• Certified as Internal or Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485) preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen
