Job summary

MW Components seeks a Quality Inspector II to perform inspections of in-process and finished products, ensuring adherence to quality standards. The role involves documenting results and maintaining calibration records, with emphasis on accurate reporting and teamwork.

Required is a high school diploma or equivalent, plus knowledge of measurement tools and quality systems like ISO9001/AS9100. ESG awareness is a plus, supporting continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect in-process and finished product per established procedures.
  • Accurately document inspection and testing results.
  • Maintain all controlled inspection and test document files.
  • Record and report product or service quality levels.
  • Communicate with Production and Quality teams to solve problems.
  • Maintain calibration records and ensure instruments are within tolerance.

Job description

The Quality Inspector II is responsible for performing inspections of incoming materials, parts, and finished products to ensure all products meet quality standards. Knowlegde of ESG Systems is a plus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Inspect in-process and finished product as required by established procedures.
  • Accurately document the results of inspection and testing results.
  • Perform careful inspections and enforcements of Quality Standards.
  • Maintain all controlled document files of the inspections and testing results.
  • Document and report product or service quality levels.
  • Communicate with the Production and Quality Team Members to solve problems.
  • Maintain records of measuring devices to ensure compliance to standards of QAP, AS9100 and ISO9001.
  • Record and indicate instruments are in tolerance and gauges are sent to approved labs.
  • Evaluate problems and make recommendations for possible corrective actions.
  • Monitor critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation.
  • Document, develop and maintain calibration system, procedures, and records.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
  • Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize work.
  • Train Quality Team Members as needed.
  • Follow up with appropriate Team Members/Management when mistakes are discovered.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 and AS9100 management systems.
  • Working knowledge of measurement instruments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written communications.
  • Knowledge of ESG and environmental systems
