Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Quality Inspector II in Gardena, CA to inspect components and assemblies across production stages. You will perform visual and mechanical inspections, analyze data for conformance, and document acceptance or rejection of items.

The role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to follow QA procedures with minimal supervision. Candidates typically hold a secondary education and 2-5 years of related experience, with proficiency in reading engineering

Qualifications

  • Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent as validated education.
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship in a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant quality inspection experience.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect components, parts and products per specifications and QA instructions.
  • Identify quality issues in design or processes and report deviations.
  • Perform visual and mechanical inspections on assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Document acceptance/rejection of inspected items.
  • Support internal audits and corrective actions.
  • Work with schedules including nights/weekends as required.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate findings clearly.

Job description

Position Summary

The Quality Inspector II inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance Instructions. Identifies moderately difficult quality issues in design, process or other inefficiencies to meet quality requirements.

Responsibilities

Conducts examinations and quality control inspections on products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality and reliability standards

Participates in analysis statistical data from processes to either confirm compliance with established standards or identify deviations from standards

Performs visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies and subassemblies

Prepares and completes all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items

Identifies design, process or other inefficiencies and reports quality concerns and issues

Performs routine quality inspections on engineering designs, assemblies, piece parts, final assemblies and tooling

Conducts Internal audits and corrective action follow ups

Other responsibilities as assigned

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary

Qualifications

A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.

Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field

2- 5 years of relevant experience

Skills:

Ability to follow established job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision

Strong attention to detail and ability to apply a systematic QA approach while using existing procedures to solve a range of technical issues

Skilled at measuring and using test equipment as prescribed by job assignment

Capable of following instructions and applying processes and procedures to standard routine tasks

Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
