Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform dimensional and visual inspections of precision machined components. You will verify conformance using standardized instruments and document results in inspection records.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and about 1 year of experience, with basic knowledge of Keyence and CMM tools. Expect a daytime shift at our Glendale, AZ site with safety-focused duties and material handling responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in quality inspection or similar.
• Able to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with measurement tools and inspection devices.

Responsibilities

• Verify conformance of low complexity products using inspection instruments (micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, optical comparators, thread gauges, dial indicators, fixed gages, cylindrical plug gages).
• Read and interpret production travelers and specifications to ensure product conformance at each step.
• Document part characteristics and measurements on inspection history cards.
• Record data in inspection files and maintain accurate records.
• Move part containers using forklift or pallet jack.
• Create product discrepancy reports in the quality database.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping in the work area.
