Linamar Corporation in Fletcher, NC, seeks a Quality Inspector – Level 1 to support product inspection, quality audits, and compliance with company and governmental labeling standards.

Under direct supervision, the candidate will use basic gauing tools, read blueprints, and assist with SPC histograms and X-bar/R charts, contributing to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with high-pressure die casting (HPDC) is a plus.
• Knowledge of SPC (Histograms, X and R charts, Cpk).
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret engineering drawings.
• Must use measuring equipment effectively: micrometers, verniers, height and bore gauges.
• Basic math skills to assess conformity and quality.

Responsibilities

• First-off, receiving, and in-process inspections.
• Perform product and LPA audits.
• Utilize manual gauging and operate CMM as required.
• Inspect incoming material per receiving inspection requirements.
• Record results and support documentation and forms.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with supervisors and operators to maintain quality.
