Job summary

The MQA Line Inspector at Bausch + Lomb Greenville is responsible for performing quality inspections on finished goods and contract materials, applying statistical sampling plans to verify compliance with cGMPs and SOPs. You will document results, support non-conformance decisions, and assist in containment and investigations as needed.

You’ll work second shift, interact with cross-functional teams, and maintain sample inventory while ensuring accurate QA batch records and timely communication

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required.
• 2-3 years manufacturing or inspection experience requested.
• Experience with visual and dimensional inspection desired.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ERP and document management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses statistical sampling to perform visual and functional inspections on contract and Greenville finished product.
• Documents results in QA batch record or Receiving Inspection Report.
• Assists in quality decisions for nonconforming products and supports manufacturing QA inspections.
• Participates in investigation and documentation of process issues affecting quality.

Objectives/Purpose of Job

The MQA Line Inspector is responsible for performing Quality inspections for finished goods & contract goods associated with products manufactured & distributed by B+L Greenville. These inspections require the use of statistical sampling plans to conduct visual and functional inspections to determine compliance with cGMP's, local/regional SOP's, and associated regulations. In addition to inspection requirements, this position will provide guidance for issue resolution, product containment, and non-conformance generation if necessary.

Key Activities/Responsibilities

• Utilizes statistical sampling plans to perform visual and functional inspections of contract and Greenville finished product.
• Documents all results in the QA batch record or on the Receiving Inspection Report.
• Assists in quality decisions for nonconforming products and provides QA inspection support to the Manufacturing operation.
• Assists in the Investigation and documentation of process issues that occur during the production operation including input to in-process product quality decisions.
• Maintains retain sample inventory for all finished products.

Qualifications/Training

Education: High School Diploma required.

Experience

• 2-3 years prior manufacturing or inspection experience required.
• Prior exposure to visual and dimensional inspection required.
• Previous inspection experience using balances and dimensional tools preferred.
• Specialized Skills:
• Computer skills using MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Access
• Warehouse Management System (ERPLX) and Document Management System (Documentum).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated. Good people skills.
• Must be able to communicate with a cross functional team and management concerning quality issues.
• Decision-making ability and ability to work unsupervised expected.

Eligibility for Internal Applicants

Have no corrective actions at the written warning level in last six months / no final warning level in the last 12 months / no active PIP.
Meet the qualifications of the position as stated above.
Be in your current job for 12 months.

Position applying for must be a step up in progression and not a step down.

Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:30 PM-12:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
