Purple is a digitally-native brand focused on comfort solutions. The Quality Inspector role supports Production by ensuring high-quality products reach customers. The position emphasizes independent work, precise testing, and cross-functional collaboration to maintain Purple’s quality standards.

This full-time role involves hands-on inspection, documentation, and participation in process improvements to sustain top product quality as the company scales in Utah and beyond.

Mansioni

• Own core QC functions across Incoming, In-Process, and Final Product Control.
• Document acceptance or rejection of parts and equipment.
• Document investigations and resolutions of nonconformances and audit findings.
• Assist in developing test methods and inspection plans.
• Assist validations of test methods, equipment, and processes.
• Coordinate with Purchasing for supplier receiving inspections.
• Gather and report department metrics.
• Investigate supplier-quality issues from receiving inspections.
• Perform dimensional and functional tests with inspection tools.

The compensation target for this role is: $20.00

Job Summary
This position needs an energetic and skilled professional to become part of our dynamic and growing company. The Quality Inspector will provide support to Production staff and help ensure that high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Take ownership and assist in core QC functions and associated activities relating to Incoming, In-Process and Final Product Control
• Accurately complete documentation to indicate acceptance or rejection of parts and equipment
• Assist and document the investigation and resolution of problems initiated through nonconformances, corrective action, customer complaints, and/or audit findings
• Assist in development of test methods and inspection plans
• Assist in validations of test methods, equipment, processes
• Liaison with Purchasing for supplier interactions (receiving inspection)
• Assist in data gathering, analysis and reporting of department metrics as required
• Investigate and communicate supplier quality issues / failures (receiving inspection)
• Perform standard and non-standard dimensional and/or functional tests using standard inspection tools and test equipment

Required Skills, Education, Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions
• Experience with product testing and inspection
• Good organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Good communication skills and ability to resolve conflict

Physical Requirements

Physical activities may occasionally include:

• ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like;
• moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments;

• remaining in a stationary position, often standing for prolonged periods;
• moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another;
• adjusting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions;
• repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers;
• operating machinery and/or power tools, depending on position;
• depending on position may include operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment;
• assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Environmental Conditions may occasionally include:

• Noisy open office environment or hazardous conditions

Work Hours (Good Faith Estimate):

This full-time position is expected to work approximately 30-40 hours per week. This is a good faith estimate, and actual hours may vary based on business needs.
