Accentuate Staffing is recruiting a Quality Inspector/Finishing Operator to join an established manufacturing company in Morrisville, NC. This is a hands-on manufacturing role responsible for inspecting finished products, performing light assembly and finishing work, operating basic production equipment, and preparing products for shipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable using measurement tools, reading blueprints, and following work instructions. This is a contract-to-hire, 1st shift, Monday–Friday opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Complete light assembly of components and finished products
- Operate production equipment, including balancing and laser-marking machines
- Perform final visual, dimensional, and functional inspections on completed products
- Use precision measuring tools and both metric and standard measurement systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and other production documents
- Identify defects or products that do not meet quality requirements and communicate issues to the appropriate team members
- Apply rust prevention, labels, and other finishing materials as needed
- Package finished products securely and accurately for shipment
- Complete inspection records, production paperwork, and other required documentation
- Follow established quality, safety, operating, and equipment procedures
- Perform routine equipment maintenance as required
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on producing quality work
- Ability to perform light assembly and safely operate basic manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, work instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic understanding of measurements, dimensions, and tolerances
- Familiarity with measurement tools and precision gauges
- Comfortable working with both metric and standard measurements
- Ability to inspect finished products and recognize defects or quality issues
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a team
- Dependable, organized, and able to consistently follow established procedures
- Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, machining, inspection, or finishing experience is a plus
- Experience with quality inspection, precision gauging, balancing equipment, or laser-marking equipment is preferred
