Job summary

ManpowerGroup is seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector in Houston, TX to support production and QA teams. The role focuses on ensuring dimensional accuracy, functional performance, and visual conformity of electrical and mechanical parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and military specs, using CMMs and other inspection tools, and documenting dispositions in the Oracle Quality Module.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of inspection tools and measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of blueprints, military specifications, and quality standards.
• Basic math skills and familiarity with SPC and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles.
• Ability to perform basic setup and calibration of inspection instruments.
• Willingness to attend training for ASQ CMI and IPC 610 testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Verify electrical and mechanical parts dimensions, functionality, and visual conformance according to established procedures.
• Interpret blueprints and military specifications to ensure parts meet required standards.
• Utilize inspection tools and test equipment such as CMMs, optical comparators, and PMI gauges.
• Perform first piece inspections on mechanical and electrical parts or assemblies.
• Monitor and process rejected materials using Oracle Quality Module, ensuring proper disposition and documentation.
