Job summary

Prince Industries Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a Quality Inspector/CMM Operator to ensure product and process compliance with customer, company, and regulatory standards, including AS9100 requirements.

The position is on second shift (3:30pm–2:00am) and requires strong GD&T knowledge. You will conduct First Article Inspections using CMMs and hand gauges, uphold the AS9100 D QMS, and contribute to a safe, efficient production environment. Prior aerospace inspection experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Robust knowledge of GD&T, blueprint, and spec interpretation.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fundamental mechanical and mathematical inspection knowledge.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to perform all the Mechanical Quality Inspection responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• First Article Inspections and overall conformity of products.
• Assures customer satisfaction by measuring conformity to Customer Specifications and Engineering Drawings.
• Upholds Prince’s Core Values and AS9100 D Quality Management System
• Process inspections utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines and hand gauging (micrometers, calipers, etc).
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Quality Inspector/CMM Operator will use various inspection methods and tools to ensure product and process compliance with customer, company, and regulatory standards, including AS9100 requirements.

Second Shift Hours:

Monday – Thursday, 3:30pm – 2:00am(4-10s)

Responsibilities:

• First Article Inspections and the overall conformity of our products.
• Assures customer satisfaction by measuring product conformity to Customer Specifications and Engineering Drawings.
• Upholds Prince’s Core Values and our AS9100 D Quality Management System
• Process inspections utilizing Coordinate Measuring Machines and all inspection hand gauging including but not limited to, micrometers, thread gauges, dial indicators, calipers, height gauges, etc.
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures and complying with all applicable regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• AS9100 D Quality Management System – Trained.
• Geometric Characteristic, GD&T - Trained.
• 5 years’ experience in precision aerospace CNC machined products.
• Experience operating/programming CMM is a plus

Physical Job Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand and reach the duration of shift, 8-10 hours.
• Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
• Frequently required to perform repetitive or short-cycles work.
• Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc. as designated in specific work area assigned.
• Strong work ethic: Willing to work OT to meet tight deadlines as needed.

Compensation:

$26 - $28/hr (based on experience)
