Job summary

Seyer Industries, Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector for ALL SHIFTS in Missouri. The role includes inspection of parts using PCMM Romer arm, CMM, and traditional tools, with up to $8.00 per hour shift premium.

You will uphold AS9100 standards, document First Article Inspections, and support the quality department to meet production goals. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, paid time off from day one, nine paid holidays, and a 401(k) with generous company matching.

Qualifications

• Prior quality inspection experience preferred
• Experience with FPI/FAI and sampling methods
• Familiarity with AS9100 quality requirements
• Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts accurately

Responsibilities

• Inspect all parts scheduled for FPI, FAI and sample inspection using inspection tools
• Maintain organization of CMM machines, programs and software to avoid downtime
• Record dimensions for First Article Inspection into the database
• Provide exemplary service to manufacturing in relation to quality activities
• Ensure Quality Manual requirements are followed and paperwork is complete for job sales
• Collaborate with other quality staff to maintain throughput of parts to be inspected
• Spot-check critical dimensions on the shop floor as time permits
• Support 6S and maintain a safe, clean work environment

Job description

We are looking for a Quality Inspector! We are hiring for ALL SHIFTS, not into working a 9 to 5, we offer shift premiums of up to $8.00 per hour.

Principle Responsibilities:

• Inspect all parts scheduled for FPI, FAI and Sample Inspection utilizing all inspection tools within the quality department, mainly the PCMM (Romer arm), stationary CMM and traditional inspection equipment (rock inspect).


• Maintain organization of CMM machines, programs, and associated software to run efficiently as possible and to eliminate crashes, downtime, and inefficient inspection techniques following direction from quality supervisors.


• Record all dimensions required for First Article Inspection (FAI) into the database as required.


• Give exemplary service to all areas of manufacturing in relation to First Part Inspections and other quality activities.


• Monitor manufacturing routing for Quality related content (including acceptance and inspector stamps) and adherence to Quality Manual requirements. Assure proper paperwork is maintained for the selling of jobs to all customers (less FAI requirements).


• Work closely with and support all other quality department personnel to maintain efficient parts "to be inspected" through put.


• Spot check critical dimensions on the shop floor as time permits and as assigned by machining lead.


• Conform to all requirements of Seyer Industries Quality System and any and all customer invoked quality requirements (AS-9100, for example).


• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.


• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S standards.


• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
