Job summary

MS Companies is seeking a Quality Inspector for the Afternoon Shift (2:15 PM start) in Vance, AL. You will inspect parts for automotive clients and ensure defects are caught before the part leaves the plant. The pay is $15.00 per hour, with a 2:15 PM–10:30 PM schedule.

This role requires standing most of the shift, attention to detail, and the ability to follow inspection steps and safety rules. You report results on a tablet and work with a fast-paced, loud environment.

Your alarm does not go off at 4:45 AM.

You wake up when you wake up. You handle the morning appointment, the class, the kid, the other job. Then you come to work at 2:15 PM.

Most plant jobs take your whole morning and call it a schedule. This one gives it back.

Here is the trade. We pay you to notice things.

You inspect parts for automotive plants. You find the flaw before it leaves the building. That part ends up in a car somebody's family drives to work every day. You are the last person who looks at it closely.

Most people cannot do this for eight hours. Their eyes slide over the ninetieth part. Yours do not.

This job is not for everyone

Be honest with yourself before you apply.

• You stand most of the shift. There is no desk.
• The work repeats. The parts look the same. The attention cannot slip.
• The plant is loud, and the temperature changes with the weather.
• We hold you to your start time.

• You sit, stand, and walk on concrete floors for up to 12 hours.
• You climb stairs and move through the plant.
• You bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
• You lift, push, and pull up to 30 pounds.
• You grip with both hands and repeat fine hand movements.
• You work in a building where the temperature changes.

What you bring

• You understand spoken instructions and you follow them.
• You have inspected parts or worked in a plant before.
• You have used work instructions or inspection checklists.
• You have used a tablet or a phone app to report work. Salesforce experience helps.
• You are authorized to work in the United States.
