Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Quality Inspector for a reputable manufacturer in Ladson, SC, supporting 3rd shift operations. The role involves incoming material verification, vendor certification, material testing, and maintaining quality records.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, experience with calipers and micrometers, and strong communication skills. The position is contract-to-hire with holidays after 30 days and shift 10:00pm–6:30am.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience using calipers and micrometers.
  • Prior visual quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming direct material verification and inspection including paperwork review and data entry.
  • Perform incoming outside vendor process certification including certification verification and data entry.
  • Ensure material testing and analysis is completed for production parts and verify testing certifications.
  • Maintain quality databases.
  • Support site audits.
  • Conduct root cause and corrective action activities.
  • Support inspection and gauging.
  • Maintain quality records and data retrieval as needed.
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
