Job summary

Veritas Steel, LLC is seeking a QC Inspector with a CWI certification to ensure welding quality on the shop floor. You will coordinate with DOT inspectors, monitor welder qualification tests, and perform visual and dimensional inspections of bolts, lay downs, and assemblies.

The role requires reading welding codes, maintaining accurate diaries and reports, and ensuring compliance with specifications for continuous workflow in the shop. Flexibility to work within shift windows is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have CWI Certification.
• Experience coordinating QC hold points between production and inspectors is essential.
• Read and interpret welding codes and specifications.
• Read drawings and perform dimensional checks as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between production and DOT Inspectors to witness production operations and QC hold points.
• Perform visual inspection of material and dimensional checks.
• Monitor welder qualification tests and record welding parameters.
• Assist crews and leadmen to maintain quality and meet schedules.
• Maintain logs and required reports; interpret specifications and codes.
