Job summary

Jabil is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in a role focused on ensuring the highest quality of in-house and vendor-supplied materials, packaging, and products used in medical devices.

You will perform routine inspections, document deviations, and support training while adhering to safety policies and using MES and ERP systems for data entry and lot release. A solid high school education and experience with inspection techniques are required.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 year of inspection experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft PC applications.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.
  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and finished products for visual, mechanical, and dimensional characteristics using inspection sheets and sampling plans.
  • Compare results with specifications and document deviations.
  • Read and follow visual aids, engineering change notices, and operating procedures.
  • Perform visual inspections using magnification, sampling methods, first article checks, and/or AOI machines.
  • Enter inspection results into MES systems.
  • Perform lot release and archive batch documentation.
  • Prepare documentation and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in training co-workers.
  • Perform roving auditor inspections in manufacturing environments.
  • Follow all safety, health, and security policies.

Overall Responsibilities

The overall responsibilities of this position include inspection of in-house and vendor purchased products, raw materials, and services; inspection of packaging and labeling materials used for medical devices. Quality Inspectors also assist in the operation of the manufacturing line while ensuring the highest quality and striving for efficiency and excellence while adhering to all safety requirements.

Job Requirements
Education

Experience
  • Experience reading technical drawings and using measuring instruments preferred.

The hourly pay range for this role is $14.86 - $26.73. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
