Job summary

Astrix Inc. is seeking detail-oriented Quality Inspectors for 2nd shift in Wilmington, OH to support pharmaceutical manufacturing. You will visually inspect products, label, and package finished GMP materials, including vials and syringes, and perform related quality tasks.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow SOPs, and training in cGMP procedures. Contract-to-hire, schedule Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm, with benefits available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of manufacturing or technical experience.
• Must pass required visual inspection certification and eye examination.
• Strong attention to detail and visual acuity required.
• Able to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect finished pharmaceutical products and containers (vials/syringes) for defects.
• Perform visual inspection per SOPs and quality requirements.
• Maintain production records and daily trending logs.
• Operate process equipment including vial coders and inspection systems.
• Conduct labeling and packaging activities for finished products.
• Support development and documentation of area-specific procedures.
• Adhere to cGMP and safety standards in all tasks.
• Complete inspection certification and related eye examinations.
• Assist other manufacturing functions as needed.
• Adapt to non-routine or extended shifts to support production.

Quality Inspector (Pharmaceutical Manufacturing) – 2nd Shift

We are seeking detail-oriented Quality Inspectors to support our clients’ pharmaceutical manufacturing operations through visual inspection, labeling, and packaging of finished GMP products, including vials and syringes.
Title: Quality Inspector -2 openings!
Pay Rate: $20/hour (+ Benefits)
Location: Wilmington, OH 45177
Contract to Potential Hire
Schedule: Mon-Fri 3pm-11:30pm

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good visual acuity, and the ability to work effectively in a regulated manufacturing environment. Candidates will receive comprehensive training focused on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and pharmaceutical manufacturing procedures.
Key Responsibilities

• Inspect finished pharmaceutical products and empty containers, including vials and syringes, for defects.
• Perform visual inspection activities in accordance with established SOPs and quality requirements.
• Complete daily manufacturing and process activities while maintaining compliance with SOPs and cGMP requirements.
• Prepare and operate process-specific and ancillary equipment, including vial coders and vision inspection systems.
• Perform labeling and packaging activities for finished products.
• Complete, review, and maintain production records and daily trending logs.
• Assist with the development and implementation of area-specific process documentation as needed.
• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices and applicable safety and quality standards.
• Complete required inspection certification and successfully pass applicable visual acuity/eye examinations.
• Support other manufacturing functions, including Formulation, Fill, and Materials, as business needs require.
• Work non-routine or flexible hours when necessary to support production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant manufacturing work environment.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of manufacturing or technical experience.
• Ability to successfully complete required visual inspection certification and eye examination.
• Strong attention to detail and visual acuity.
• Ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer and database skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a GMP/cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• Experience with visual inspection or general product inspection.
• Previous experience with labeling, packaging, or pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.

Training

Comprehensive training will be provided with an emphasis on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), pharmaceutical manufacturing procedures, visual inspection, equipment operation, and applicable SOPs.
