Descripción del empleo

Some parts are measured in thousandths of an inch. The missions they serve are measured in lives. Picture a component moving through our Colorado facility, a machined part destined for a hypersonic defense system. It will travel faster than five times the speed of sound, and no one gets a second chance once it leaves the ground. Before it does, it crosses your bench.

That’s the work of a Quality Inspector at Leidos. You are the last line of confidence between a drawing and a mission that can’t fail.

The role

Leidos’ Defense Systems Colorado Manufacturing Facility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our team. • Create and compile acceptance data packages for customer approval of build assets.
  • Prepare and maintain AS9102 reports, inspection records, quality documentation, and discrepancy reports.
  • Operate standard inspection and measuring equipment, CMMs, and GOM Scanning Equipment against tight tolerances, using GD&T and embedded model dimensioning.
  • Participate in and provide necessary support for corrective actions, documentation control, calibration, and receiving inspection.
Basic qualifications
  • High School diploma/GED with 3 years of relevant Quality Inspection experience required.

  • Experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to populate handwritten or computer-generated inspection reports.
  • Practical computer skills and experience using software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work full-time with minimal supervision and adjust priorities based on workflow.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites to perform quality inspections, as necessary.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
