Job summary

Prince Industries LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector for the 2nd shift to ensure product and process compliance with customer, company, and regulatory standards (AS9100). You will develop and maintain quality documentation and support manufacturing to deliver conforming products.

The role requires GD&T proficiency, strong attention to detail, and effective documentation. Training is provided during 1st shift; 2nd shift hours are 3:30pm–12:00am, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency reading and interpreting GD&T per ASME Y14.5 or equivalent.
  • Ability to apply GD&T in inspection and planning.
  • Strong documentation accuracy and technical writing.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation to meet AS9100, customer, and internal standards.
  • Interpret drawings and specifications using GD&T for inspection planning.
  • Create inspection plans and shop-floor documentation.
  • Manage revision control for changes and distribute docs accordingly.
  • Prepare and submit FAIRs per AS9102 on time with complete records.
  • Support continuous improvement and compliance with safety procedures.

Job Summary

TheQuality Inspectorplays a critical role in ensuring product and process compliance with customer, company, and regulatory standards, including AS9100 requirements. This position is responsible for advanced product quality planning, developing and maintaining accurate quality documentation, and supporting manufacturing operations to ensure the delivery of conforming products.


This position is on 2nd Shift.


2nd Shift hours: 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday.


*Required training will be done during 1st Shift hours.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and maintain quality control documentation to meet AS9100, customer, and internal standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, applying GD&T principles (ASME Y14.5 or equivalent) to inspection and production planning.
  • Balloon customer and internal drawings; create and maintain inspection plans and shop-floor documentation.
  • Manage revision control for internal and external changes; update and distribute documentation accordingly.
  • Prepare and submit First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) per AS9102 requirements; ensure complete and accurate records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with quality tasks across inspection, receiving, and other areas as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings with GD&T standards.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T application in manufacturing and inspection processes.
  • Technical writing and documentation accuracy.
  • Organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience

  • 3-5 yearsof experience in inspection, manufacturing, or GD&T application required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferred.
  • GD&T certification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 standards preferred.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and moderate noise levels.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments.
  • Must also have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth. Color vision is required as well.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
