Job summary

Faxon Firearms, LLC is seeking a Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will use calipers, micrometers, height gages, and bore gages to inspect materials and in-process parts, ensuring conformance to prints and quality plans.

The role reports to the Quality Manager and requires reading blueprints, routers, and quality plans, with ITAR considerations. Bring 1–5 years of relevant experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical or trade training preferred.
• 1–5 years as a Quality Inspector in manufacturing or similar quality role.
• Ability to read prints, routers, and quality plans and communicate information.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specs and testing.
• Inspects in-process production and communicates adjustments to production supervisor.
• Approves finished products by confirming specs, testing, and rework if needed.
• Documents inspection results and inputs data into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating per instructions and calibration.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment according to standards and laws.
• Updates job knowledge by training and reading technical publications.
• Contributes to quality mission by completing related tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor.
• Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Educational Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, technical or trade school training preferred

Previous Experience

• 1 - 5 years as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment or similar Quality position
