Job summary

Giesecke+Devrient ePayments America, Inc. seeks a Quality Inspector to support quality control on the production floor, auditing areas and reporting non-conformities to supervisors.

The role requires at least 1 year in manufacturing, attention to detail, and ability to lift 50 pounds. Eligible for benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • eyesight correctable to 20/20 and color perception needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; meticulous record-keeping.
  • Able to perform basic math and data entry with accuracy.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with in-process quality control focusing on products off the production floor.
  • Continuously audit work areas for acceptable vs. rejected product.
  • Advise production supervisors of non-conformities observed.
  • Maintain lot control traceability documentation during manufacturing.
  • Use QC equipment to measure product quality.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job description

The Quality Inspector will assist with quality control inspection efforts for product coming off the production floor in our manufacturing facility.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Assist with In-Process quality control (QC), concentrate on product coming off the production floor.
  • Continuously audit work areas for identification of the acceptable/rejection of product within the process.
  • Advise production supervisors of any observed non-conformity.
  • Maintaining lot control traceability documentation during manufacturing process.
  • Use quality control equipment to measure quality of product coming off production floor.
  • Perform related job duties as required and assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of related experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
  • Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to visually inspect materials. Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. Requires normal color perception.
  • Strong verbal and written communication. Ability to keep detailed and accurate records.
  • Ability to focus and perform precision hand movements when operating a machine.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly, able to work around machinery.
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to detail. Reason through problems involving set-up and operation.
  • Able to perform basic math calculations, including addition and subtraction of decimals. Ability to perform data entry operations with accuracy.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen prior to employment
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Requires sitting at a desk in front of a computer screen for 8 or more hours per day.
  • Requires visual acuity to operate a computer, read a computer screen, read policies and manuals
  • Requires manual dexterity to operate a computer, phone, fax, scanner

The pay range for this position is $19.00-$21.00 and is eligible for an annual bonus.
