Job summary

JFC Staffing Companies is seeking a Machine Shop Quality Control Inspector for a Dover, PA-area manufacturer. The role focuses on visual and dimensional evaluations, use of CMMs and FARO equipment, and interpreting drawings and GD&T to ensure parts meet strict specs.

A detail-oriented candidate with strong math skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams is ideal. Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating inspection equipment, documenting results, and supporting root-cause

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Proficient in reading mechanical drawings and GD&T
• Experienced with precision measurement tools and familiar with CMMs and FARO systems
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and work independently or collaboratively
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and commuting or relocating reliably to Dover, PA
• U.S. citizen at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and dimensional evaluations of machined and fabricated parts
• Use calibrated gauges, CMMs, FARO Arms, and other tools to ensure accuracy
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and GD&T specifications
• Verify material type, grade, and traceability for both in-house and supplier parts
• Set up, maintain, and calibrate inspection equipment
• Document inspection outcomes and prepare detailed reports
• Identify, segregate, and facilitate the disposition of non-conforming items
• Collaborate with quality, engineering, and production teams to resolve issues
• Support root-cause analysis and proactive quality improvements
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
