Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Inspector to support aerospace manufacturing in a Space Flight System environment. You will perform inspections on engines, avionics, and structures, verify QA compliance, and document findings.

The role requires FAA A&P certification and experience with composite aircraft structures. You will work with engineering, production, and management to communicate inspection results, tag non-conforming parts, and support safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in aerospace/aviation quality inspection.
• Ability to use standard inspection tools and techniques.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality processes and documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• HF diploma or GED requirement; A&P certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary, in-process, and final inspections on aircraft components.
• Verify compliance with WIs and QMS requirements.
• Document inspection findings and issue NCRs/NRIs when needed.
• Review work orders and records for accuracy before release of parts.
• Tag, identify and quarantine non-repairable parts.
• Communicate results and quality concerns to engineering and production teams.
• Participate in safety investigations and root-cause actions.
• Maintain FOD awareness and safety compliance.

Insight Global is seeking a Quality Inspector to support aerospace manufacturing and operations within a Space Flight System environment. This individual will be responsible for performing preliminary, in-process, and final inspections to ensure aircraft components meet manufacturing, quality, and safety requirements.Day-to-day responsibilities will include:Perform preliminary, in-process, and final inspections on aircraft components, including engines, avionics, and structures.Verify work is completed in accordance with Manufacturing Work Instructions and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.Inspect components for defects, damage, and dimensional accuracy using appropriate inspection tools and techniques.Document inspection findings and generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Non-Routine Inspection Reports (NRIs), when required.Review work orders, records, reports, and associated documentation for accuracy and completion prior to releasing components for service.Ensure rejected or non-repairable parts are properly tagged, identified, and quarantined.Communicate inspection results, quality concerns, and acceptance criteria with engineering, production, and management teams.Participate in safety investigations, hazard reporting, and root-cause corrective actions.Maintain FOD awareness and follow established safety and quality requirements.
