Job summary

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc. is seeking a QA Operator to inspect goods in Sugar Land, TX, ensuring they meet established quality standards. The role involves visual inspections and recording quality issues to support defect reduction.

You will use a microscope for small components, hand-pick with tweezers, and document results in the quality database while following SOPs.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills; Data entry a plus.
• Ability to use a microscope; steady hands; capable of handling very small components.
• Willing and eager to learn, cooperate and follow instructions, pays careful attention to detail.
• Understand and communicate in English.

Job Duties

• Conducts inspection, testing, and/or screening for defects in Optoelectronic components.
• Uses microscopes for further inspection and hand picking of small components using tweezers.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following SOPs (standard operating procedures).

Qualifications

• Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Software/Hardware Knowledge: Basic computer skills; Data Entry is a plus
• Skills/Abilities: Ability to use microscope; Steady hands; Need to be able to handle very small components
• Personal Characteristics: Willing and eager to learn, cooperate and follow instructions, pays careful attention to detail
• Understand and communicate in English

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
