Job summary

acsius seeks a Quality Inspector in our Texas facility to uphold safety standards and supervise the fabrication process, ensuring products meet quality expectations.

You will perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and suggest improvements while maintaining a fast-paced, detail-focused environment. Hours are 8 per day, 40 hours per week with overtime as needed; the plant environment can be hot or cold and not air-conditioned.

Qualifications

  • One to two years of quality inspection experience (preferred but not required).
  • High School Diploma/GED or higher.
  • Strong English communication skills – written, verbal, interpersonal, and phone.
  • Ability to think analytically, with a focus on quality and detail.
  • A flexible and strong team player that can work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Must be computer literate (Word, Excel).
  • Read & understand tape measure, calipers, engineering drawings, weld symbols, and general shop testing equipment.
  • On‑the‑job training and certification will be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular quality assessments on incoming materials from vendors when required.
  • Approve finished products by verifying they conform to the specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for rework and confirming rework.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Read blueprints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
  • Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
  • Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
  • Resolve quality-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures, and complying with legal requirements.

Job description

Quality Inspector

We are currently searching for an experienced and highly analytical Quality Inspector to join our department. As the Quality Inspector, you will uphold the safety regulations of our company and supervise the production/fabrication process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations.

The chosen candidate will perform regular product evaluations; record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production/fabrication process. To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate great attention to detail with good technical and organizational skills.

Essential job functions
  • Perform regular quality assessments on incoming materials from vendors when required.
  • Approve finished products by verifying they conform to the specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for rework and confirming rework.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.

  • Recording inspection data on the appropriate ACSI Inspection forms/documents including documentation of the non‑conforming process, product, and services (if needed).

  • Perform other tasks as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities

Physical Demands

Hours: 8 per day, 40 hours per week with a 1/2 hour lunch break. Overtime as required.

Sitting: 5% of the time. Standing & walking: 95% of the time.

  • Outside and plant environment – plant is not A/C. Dust.
