Job summary

Masterbilt Incorporated is seeking a Quality Technician to ensure quality and compliance across raw materials, purchased components, and production parts. You will support production through inspections, calibration, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential duties include incoming material inspections, in-process and final part checks, and interpretation of drawings and GD&T. This role requires focus on safety and teamwork in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of manufacturing and metrology experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials and components to verify conformance to specifications.
• Perform in-process and final inspections of manufactured parts.
• Utilize calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, material specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Coordinate external calibrations and perform internal calibration activities.
• Maintain accurate inspection of records and quality documentation.
• Follow safety requirements and perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description:

The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of raw materials, purchased components, and production parts throughout the manufacturing process. This position supports production and customer requirements through inspection activities, calibration of measuring equipment, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Quality Technician serves as a representative of the Quality Department to both internal and external customers while supporting Masterbilt’s commitment to quality, safety, and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Competency Requirements:

Experience & Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Minimum two years of manufacturing and metrology experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints.

• Manufacturing facility with exposure to moving equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required as appropriate.

Work Schedule:

The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday with hours based on a production environment, with occasional nights and weekends, depending on the needs of the position and the organization.
