Job summary

Nelson Connects seeks a Quality Control Inspector to monitor nightly in-process production through visual, dimensional and functional inspections in Santa Rosa, CA.

You will document inspection data, utilize calipers and other measuring devices, and report non-conformances to the foreperson while supporting rework and MRB processes.

Required is at least 1 year of QC experience, proficiency with Word/Excel, blueprints interpretation, and knowledge of SPC and ISO 9001/13485 systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections in accordance with in-process procedures
• Dimensionally inspect product using calipers and other measuring devices
• Document inspection data on appropriate records
• Record shift highlights in log book and report to foreperson for non-conformances
• Coordinate MRB product evaluation or reject reporting
• Supervise rework of nonconforming products in the hold area and perform final inspection on reworked product

Job description

You are aQuality Control Inspector that monitors the nightly in-process production by performing visual, dimensional and functional inspections.

This position pays:$22 $25/hour DOE

Schedule: Monday – Friday 11pm – 7:30am

Location: Santa Rosa, CA

What you will be doing:

• Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspections in accordance with In-Process inspection procedures.
• Dimensionally inspect product utilizing various measuring devices, such as calipers.
• Document inspection data on appropriate records.
• Utilize computer to record and calculate statistical data.
• Record shift highlights in log book.
• Follow procedures for retaining samples.
• Notify foreperson of any non-conformances.
• Follow procedures for product rejections.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas and Quality Control equipment.
• Generate Labels for daily production at the start of each shift if required.
• Coordinate Daily MRB Product evaluation or reject Reporting.
• Responsible for supervising the rework of nonconforming products in the hold area and performing final inspection on reworked product if instructed.
• Participate in production meetings and provide quality status of production if required.
