Job summary

Biomerics is a leading medical device solutions provider, seeking a Quality Inspector to ensure conformance of products and materials during manufacturing. You will read blueprints, inspect at startup, in-process, and final stages, and help maintain strict quality standards within a fast-paced facility in Utah.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to use inspection tools, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• 1–3 years quality experience in medical device or molding is desired.
• High school diploma or equivalent; postsecondary education favorable.
• Proficient PC skills including Microsoft Office and inventory software.
• Dexterity to stand for long periods, multitask, and work well in a team or alone.

Responsibilities

• Perform Startup, In-Process and final Inspections.
• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Monitor operations to ensure they meet product standards.
• Recommend adjustments to the production process as necessary.
• Calculate and execute proper sampling requirements per procedures.
• Inspect, test, or measure materials.
• Label verifications; measure products with calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
• Operate electronic inspection equipment and software.
• Accept or reject finished items.
• Remove non-conforming items from production.
• Audit work orders in progress to closure and report data for traceability.
• Assist with Non-Conformance initiation, investigations, and closure.

Job Description: A Quality Inspector reviews products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet requirements. Their duties include measuring objects compared to their intended physical specifications, running quality tests, and identifying defects.

• Calculate and execute proper sampling requirements per process or procedures provided.
• Inspect, test, or measure materials.
• Label Verifications
• Measure products with calipers, gauges, or micrometers
• Operate electronic inspection equipment and software.
• Accept or reject finished items.
• Remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications.
• Actively Auditing Work Orders in progress to closure.
• Entering and reporting data as necessary for traceability.
• Assist with Non-Conformance Initiation, Investigations, and Closure.

Job Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and effectively communicate in English.
• 1-3 years’ Quality experience in a medical device or molding environment is desired but not required.
• (Quality or Manufacturing experience within other regulated industries may be considered.)
• A high school diploma or equivalent Is required. Postsecondary education is favorable.
• Basic ability to navigate and utilize a PC with various software, including Microsoft Products, Inventory management systems, and cloud-based software operations, is essential.
• Candidates must have great dexterity, stand for prolonged periods, multitask, work under pressure, work well on a team or as an individual contributor, and effectively employ time management skills.

Shift: Monday through Thursday 5:45 am to 4:15 pm
