Job summary
Mativ is seeking a Quality Control Inspector (Level 1) for its Orangeburg, NY site. The role focuses on inspecting products through the manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer specifications, and supporting cleanroom and carton room activities.
As a QC Inspector, you will follow EuroMed instructions, log non-conformances, and collaborate with QA Management to maintain quality standards across the production line.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality role.
- Able to follow written work instructions.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Able to properly use standard inspection equipment (calipers, thickness gauge and other gauges).
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and apply information on technical documentation, procedures, drawings, and basic geometric tolerances.
- Basic computer skills using Word and Excel.
- Flexibility to work overtime.
- Must be able to speak, write and read English; bilingual skills a plus.
Responsibilities
- Quality Control Inspection of products according to applicable instructions.
- Completion of quality control documentation.
- Immediate reporting of non-conformances to QA Management.
- Provide quality leadership to laminator team.
- Verification and approval of product labeling.
- Line clearance activities verification.
- Sampling according to sampling plans and instructions.
- Process verification along the production line from lamination to packaging.
- Inform operators and supervisors of process deficiencies and defects.
- Approve in-line print, label, or sticker as per Test Specification.
- Use IQS system to manage documentation and changes.
- Use Epicor for inventory management.
- Assist in cleaning production areas and equipment.
- Verify job material requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by QC Leaders.

Quality Control Inspector is primarily responsible for inspections of the product throughout the manufacturing process, including cleanroom and carton room. Additionally, the responsibility of this role is to ensure instructions are in compliance with company policy and customer specifications.
Below is an outline of my duties but not a limit of my responsibilities as an employee of EuroMed, Inc. (Orangeburg) given that the company is committed to the growth and education of its employees.
- Quality Control Inspection of products according to applicable EuroMed instructions.
- Completion of quality control documentation as defined by EuroMed instructions.
- Immediate reporting of all non-conformances observed as well as any compromises to quality to Quality Assurance Management including the creation and approval of Internal Reports and Dispositions as required.
- Provide quality leadership to laminator team.
- Verification and approval of product labeling as required by EuroMed instructions.
- Verification of Line Clearance activities as defined by applicable instructions.
- Sampling according to the EuroMed sampling plans and instructions.
- Conducts process verification activities throughout the production line (from lamination through retail box packaging) as defined by EuroMed documentation.
- Inform Line Operators and/or Production Supervisor/Team Lead, and Quality Control Leaders of observed process deficiencies and product defects or abnormalities.
- Verify and approve the in-line print, label or sticker as instructed in the Test Specification.
- Utilize IQS system to confirm appropriate documentation and initiate changes of documents through the system as necessary.
- Utilize Epicor system as required for inventory management of products and materials.
- Assist in cleaning of the production areas and equipment as assigned.
- Verify job material requirements brought into the production areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality Control Leaders.
